Chiswick

I took a guided walk of Chiswick on Saturday. Chiswick is in West London, on the outskirts of the city. It is quite a posh and expensive area to live in as it's right on the river. Aristocrats used to have villas in the area.

View of the river, the tide is out
Walpole House from the 1600s, it is said to be haunted by the mistress of Charles II
A timber framed building dating from the 1500s
A pub from the 1600s, also said to be haunted
The grave of artist William Hogarth- he had a weekend villa in Chiswick

Statues of Dachsunds in the front garden of a house (hard to tell but that is the Thames in the background)

The Fullers brewery, the only beer stilled brewed in London
