Stepney Green

I did a walk today in Stepney Green- it's in the East End, a bit further east and south of Bethnal Green where I lived before. It was such a nice day, even the East End looked nice!!

Mile End Park
One of the canals- it links the Docklands with the main canals- they are used for leisure now.

An 18th century Merchant's house
St. Dunstan's Church- has 13th century origins- it survived the Blitz- one of the few in the area
A Donkey at the Stepping Stones City Farm- London has several city farms- there is one is Islington, where I live now.

Old Fulham

On Saturday, I did a guided walk of Fulham- in West London between Chelsea and Chiswick, roughly. I briefly lived in Fulham- a really posh part of London, very popular with young families and it has two football clubs- Chelsea and Fulham.

Chiswick House

I've been delayed in updating my blog-started the new job, got a cold (swine flu!?,-not really), and was just lazy. I went to Chiswick House last weekend. It's a Palladian house in West London. It was also one of the homes of Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire.

Some people playing cricket in Chiswick Park. I watched them for awhile while I ate lunch and still have no idea about how the dumb game is played.
